Itinerary Details
Day 01 Arrival Beijing (No Meals)

Arrangement: Fly to Beijing, check in hotel.

• Beijing– China’s capital and one of the great travel destinations of the World, offers sights and cultural relics found no where else on Earth. The city has a character all its own; there are quadrangles, small alleys, tricycle, boiled mutton, roasted duck, arts and crafts, Peking Opera, The Great Wall and a vibrancy that is the distinctive flavor of Beijing.

Day 02 Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven

• Tiananmen Square (40min) – As the biggest city center square in the world, Tiananmen Square covering 44 hectares in the heart of Beijing. It is the place where history-changing events and ceremonies occurred.
• Forbidden City (2.5 – 3 hours) – A few steps away, come to visit the Forbidden City, which was the Imperial Palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and, it is one of the largest, and certainly the most completely restored, ancient architectural complex in the world.
• The Temple of Heaven (1 – 1.5 hours) – Temple of Heaven is decorated in blue, the color of the Heavens. The perfect harmony between the architectural environment and nature can be felt here; you might easily imagine the vivid spectacle of a great sacrifice to the Heavens for a good harvest.

Day 03 Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement: Mutianyu Great Wall (Cable Car), exterior tour of Bird Nest and Water Cube

• Mutianyu Great Wall (2 hours) – Mutianyu Great Wall was first built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi, making it older than the Badaling section. It is connected with Jiankou in the west and Lianhuachi and Jinshanling in the east. In 1569, the Mutianyu Great Wall was rebuilt, mainly with granite and is one of the best-preserved sections with the largest construction scale and best quality among all sections of Great Wall, being 7-8 meters high and 4-5 meters wide with 22 watchtowers on this 2,250-meter-long section
• Bird’s Nest & Water Cube (Exterior Tour) (1 hour) – The spectacular Bird’s Nest, be considered as the finest arena in the world and the centre-piece of the most expensive Olympics in history.. The National Aquatics Centre, also known as ‘The Water Cube’, is one of the most dramatic and exciting venues to host sporting events for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. The external appearance was inspired by the natural formation of soap bubbles!

Day 04 Beijing Xi’an (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement: Hutong Tour by Rickshaw, Summer Palace, high speed train (TBA) to Xian

• Hutong Tour (40 min) – Hutong tour will give you an insight into the lives of ordinary Chinese people and reveal their social culture in today’s Beijing City. The narrow streets of old Beijing are known as Hutongs. You’ll take a rickshaw tour along the Hutongs and see the 100-year-old houses, courtyards and a vanishing way of life in today’s Beijing.
• Summer Palace (1.5 hours): Originally known as the “Garden of Clear Ripples”, the Summer Palace is a magnificent imperial garden located 15 km north of Beijing City. This is the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer retreat for Emperors and the chosen few!
• Xian, steeped in history and still giving up secrets, is your gateway to ancient Chinese civilization. In its 3,100 recorded years of evolution, it has been home to 13 dynasties, including the Zhou, Qin, Han, the Sui, and Tang dynasties, periodically from the 11th century B.C. to the early 10th century AD.

Day 05 Xian (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement: Terracotta Warriors, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Xian City Wall

• Terracotta Warriors (2.5 – 3 hours) in Xian, known as the eighth wonder of the world, now is a museum to display the terra-cotta warriors and horses which were made in Qin Dynasty. From its history, Qin Terracotta Army is covered by a mysterious face.
• Small Wild Goose Pagoda, or Little Wild Goose Pagoda (1 hour) is located inside the Jianfu Temple in southern Xi’an city. Together with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, these two sites are the important landmarks which have been kept from the ancient Chang’an period.
• Xi’an City Wall (1 hour): Today, this wall represents one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.

Day 06 Xian Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement: After breakfast, Shaanxi History Museum, Hanyang Mausoleum, Flight (TBA) to Guilin

• Shaanxi History Museum (2 hours) a large State-grade Museum, which covers an area of seven hectares. It consists of a group of magnificent Tang-style palaces.
• Hanyang Mausoleum (1 hour) also called Yang Mausoleum, located in Xianyang City in Shaanxi Province, is the multi-burial cemetery of Emperor Jing of Han and his queen.
• Situated in South China, Guilin is like a glittering pearl on a green carpet, the scenery here enjoys the praise of “top landscape in the world”. The name of the city is derived from the cassia tree called “Guihuashu” in Chinese.

Day 07 Guilin Yangshuo (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement: Li River Cruise to Yangshuo, West Street

• Li River Cruise (4 hours) – The 83-km-long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is the masterpiece of Li River, decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and lined bamboos which is just like enjoying a melodious symphony.
• Yangshuo – The well known saying, “Guilin is the most beautiful city of natural scenery in the world, but next to Yangshuo” manifests the importance of Yangshuo’s natural landscape in the world tourism.
• West Street Strolling – The most amazing section of Yangshuo is its West Street, about 1000 meters long, popularly known as “Foreigner’s Street”.

Day 08 Yangshuo Guilin Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement: Back to Guilin, Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Flight (TBA) to Shanghai

• Reed Flute Cave (1 hour) – Reed Flute Cave is a famous scenic spot, mainly offering a magic fairyland of stalactites, stalagmites, stone columns, curtains and flowers in fantastic shapes and colors while appreciating landscape and rural scenery.
• Elephant Trunk Hill (1 hour) – Guilin Elephant Trunk Hill, also called the elephant hill, lies on the conjunction of the Li River and the peach blossom river. It is the badge of Guilin city.
• Shanghai also named ‘Hu’ or ‘Shen’ in Chinese, is one of the four municipalities directly under the Chinese central government. Literally known as ‘the port on the sea’, Shanghai also be one of the world largest seaports and China major industrial and commercial center.

Day 09 Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement: Jade Buddha Temple, Yuyuan Garden including Chenghuangmiao Old Street, Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Nanjing Road, the Bund

• Jade Buddha Temple (1 hour): It was first built in 1882 in Jiangwan on the southern outskirts of Shanghai. At that time, a 1.9-metre-high white jade Buddha was installed here after a monk had brought it from Burma to Zhejiang Province in 1882.
• Yuyuan Garden (1 hour): Although the Garden occupies less than five acres, demonstrates perfectly the sophisticated art of combining several different elements to create a world in miniature – ingeniously mingling pavilions and corridors, small hills and carefully selected and well-placed rocks, lotus ponds, bridges, winding paths, and trees and shrubs.
• Chenghuangmiao Old Street (1 hour): Shanghai Chenghuanmiao, or Shanghai Old City God Temple in English, is one of the most popular scenic area as well as shopping center for travelers.
• Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower (30min): Completed in 1995 to a highly innovative design, Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower has become a symbol of excellence in architecture and is a favourite sight for tourists in Shanghai.
• Nanjing Road (1 hours generally) – the earliest commercial street in Shanghai, and have a leisure walk along the Bund (30min) – famous as a group of building known as “a Gallery of world architecture”. After that, drive back to your hotel and free of the rest time.

Day 10 Shanghai (Breakfast, Lunch)

Arrangement:Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Xintiandi

• Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall (1 hour) is located on People Square, adjacent to the municipal government building. The Center is a six-story building, with two basement levels, which displays Shanghai urban planning and development.
• Xintiandi is a car-free shopping, eating and entertainment area of Shanghai, China. Xintiandi means “New Heaven and Earth”, and is considered one of the first lifestyle centers in China.

Day 11 Departure Shanghai

Free at leisure until be transferred to the airport for the return flight.

6.ADVENTUROUS Suitable for travelers with above average levels of fitness and mobility. Prepare for some long road journeys, plenty of walking and climbing stairs, and coping with the effects of high altitude.

1. Airport/railway station welcome and private transfers between airports/railway stations, hotels and sightseeing spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
2. Domestic airfare of economic class or train ticket(s) of economic class as mentioned in the itinerary. Airport construction fee and fuel surcharge are included.
3. Accommodation (if include Yangtze cruiser) based on two adults sharing one standard twin-bed room (cabin); solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate (S.SUPP in above price table). A single room (cabin) is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar one.
4. Driver and English-speaking guide service on normal sightseeing activities noted in the itinerary.
5. All entrance fees to scenic spots as shown in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of TopChinaTravel. TCT will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
6. Government taxes.
7. Travel insurance.

1.Round way International airfare or train tickets, unless otherwise noted.
2.Visa fee, passport application or renewal fee.
3.Tips for guides, escort, drives, bellman, etc.

5.Optional meals and shows mentioned in the itinerary, which will be added up if the clients desire to take the activities.
6.Any extra cost caused by changes of natural disasters, fires, weather, governmental and local authority orders, political change, strikes, war, riots, quarantine, custom regulations, damages or injury caused by accident beyond the control of TopChinaTravel and that has incurred due to the tourist action violating the laws.
7.Any items not specified in the plan.
